Earthing is used to protection against electric shock, it provides a separate path for fault current to flow to earth.

Earthing provides to
1) Human safety
2) Equipment safety
3) Building safety

There are three types of earthing
1) Pipe earthing
2) Plate earthing
3) Mat earthing

A generator is a machine which converts the mechanical energy into electrical energy. It works on the principle of Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction.
